I. Mission Statement
The Glaucoma Institute-Beverly Hills is dedicated to the research and treatment of glaucoma. Our missions are to provide the highest quality personal glaucoma eye care management for our patients, and to conduct medical research to advance our understanding of the mechanisms of glaucoma and to develop improved therapies to prevent blindness.
II. Services
The Institute specializes in glaucoma diagnoses, management, and treatment. We handle all aspects of care, from initial testing and diagnosis to medical, laser, and surgical therapies.
The staff is specialized in the treatment of additional eye disorders including cataract, anterior segment pathology, and refractive surgery.
III. About the Institute
The Glaucoma Institute-Beverly Hills has been based at our current location at the Cedars-Sinai medical complex since 1982. Our diagnostic equipment includes the most current perimeters, scanners, and biometers. We have direct access to resources at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to perform surgeries with their Argon, Nd-YAG, and Excimer lasers. We have received a research grant from the National Institutes of Health for research in the basic sciences of laser surgery.
The Institute conducts medical laser research in coordination with scientists in Europe at the Universities in Berlin, Dresden, Helsinki, and Tubingen.
